How can you help :)
volunteersAn increasing number of people are interested to do social service in different places of the world. It gives them a good insight into human life in all its variety of forms and manifestations.

Since the past few years we’ve had a number of people from different countries visiting us and helping us in various ways. The prerequisite for volunteers is a good knowledge of English.

Food and accommodation is provided for the volunteers coming to the ashram.
Your help and support is welcome in the following departments:

Teaching English (since the children's native tongue is Tamil, a basic knowledge of Tamil would be of great help; nowadays small dictionaries of Tamil are available in good book stores)
Simple care-taking of children (i.e. helping them in their day-to-day activities like washing their clothes, supervising their studies, and other simple works like this).
• The kitchen department is always a very busy place where an extra pair of hands is of great help.
• Our garden and the rice fields may be very interesting places for people interested in organic farming and helping to set up production units.
Art and crafts lessons - creative work with children (not possible more than once or twice a week)
Help with office work, work related to communication and designing of communication material
Yoga classes - sound knowledge about teaching yoga for children is needed.

Anybody who would like to help us carry out our daily assignments is welcome to contact us (please, send a resume together with your application).

Thank you in advance for your social concern. An increasing number of people are interested to do social service in different places of the world. It gives them a good insight into human life in all its variety of forms and manifestations. For people interested to stay and help at the Aum Pranava Ashram, please read the Open Letter for Volunteers.
